The owner of the Bakersfield Blaze is optimistic again about moving the team to Salinas after talks stalled last summer.

D.G. Elmore told local media Thursday that he’s aiming to buy land for a state-of-the-art, 3,500-seat stadium.

He’s hoping to have the team moved by 2017.
