The Kern County Coroner’s Office says the man who was found by passersby in a DiGeorgio Road drainage sump over the weekend was 31-year-old Alejandro DeJesus of Lamont.

He was found east of South Fairfax Road at around 4 p.m. Saturday.

Detectives with the Kern County Sheriff’s Office have launched a homicide investigation.
