A man convicted of killing a woman and burning her body in a fire pit near Edison Highway in Bakersfield will be tried again because of prosecutor misconduct.

The ruling was made Thursday for Alejandro Leon after jurors in October heard information in a 911 tape that they weren’t supposed to hear.

He’s accused of stabbing Evelynn Chuca last May.
