The acting warden of the California City Correctional Facility in Tehachapi has been given the permanent job at the prison.

49-year-old David Long was appointed to the position by Gov. Brown on Wednesday. He was named acting warden at the prison last year.

Before then, he worked at the Ironwood State Prison in Riverside County for about a decade.
