Paving work will lead to heavier truck and construction traffic near the Highway 178 and Morning Drive Interchange Project in Bakersfield.

The city’s Thomas Roads Improvement Program says work is set to begin Friday and will continue next week. Drivers on the northeast side are being asked to add some extra travel time to their commute.
