A hazmat crew had to be called after five gallons of pesticide were spilled during a hit-and-run at Ming and Grand Island avenues in west Bakersfield.

The driver ran into a tanker truck and security gates near the Seven Oaks Country Club before 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, causing $10,000 damage.
