A $5,000 reward is being offered for information on who killed a 13-year-old in east Bakersfield.

Police say Cortez Batiste was found shot to death near railroad tracks near East Brundage Lane and Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard last April. Those with more information are being urged to call the Bakersfield Police Department’s secret witness line at (661) 327-7111.
