Bakersfield police say they’ve jailed two 24-year-old men accused of stealing suitcases and bags full of things from a northwest-side home east of Allen Road on Montbatten Place, including a semiautomatic handgun.

Sgt. Joe Grubbs says a next-door neighbor called 911 while the burglary was in progress Monday afternoon.

“The neighbor sees an indivigual with a bicycle coming out of the residence with some stuff with him,” he said.

Kyle Edmaiston and Patrick Baker were later found on their bikes near Victor Street.

Both were jailed for burglary, conspiracy and possession of stolen property.
