UC Davis: Valley Pollution Coming From Overseas

Scientists at UC Davis say about 10 percent of the air pollution in the San Joaquin Valley is coming from across the Pacific Ocean.

The school says most “secondhand smog” is coming from Asia, first reaching the Bay Area before funneling into the valley. Researchers have spent the last three years investigating the phenomenon.
