The Historic Preservation Commission has approved plans to restore the Jastro House in downtown Bakersfield.

The house at 20th and G was constructed in 1875 and is one of the last remaining examples of Gothic architecture in the city. Plans to move the structure to the Kern County Museum fell through three years ago.
