The State Water Resources Control Board says it will approve Gov. Brown’s mandate to slash statewide water consumption by 25 percent next month.

A memo posted Tuesday says the board will adopt the emergency restrictions on either May 5 or May 6. A rough draft of the formal list of regulations will be published next Friday.
