The coroner’s office says an 8th grader died of natural causes after collapsing at Cecil Avenue Middle School in Delano.

They say 13-year-old Jose Beltran suffered from a form of heart disease.

The Delano Regional School District says it’s not going to comment on Beltran’s death until all aspects of the investigation are finished.
