A judge says developers can build a new Walmart in Techachapi after reviewing the retail giant’s environmental reports.

The ruling was made against Tehachapi First on Friday, which claimed the chain underestimated traffic and noise estimates.

Tehachapi First has 60 days to appeal the ruling. There’s no word yet if they will.

The city says it hasn’t heard from Walmart in regard to when they plan to construct the new store.
