Sen. Jean Fuller of Bakersfield wants $1 million toward the development of a Valley Fever vaccine, after funding was discontinued in 2010.

A senate committee has already given its unanimous approval to the bill, which was presented by Fuller.

The flu-like illness is caused by fungi in blown dust.
