City firefighters have contained a wildfire that charred roughly 10 acres near the Kern River Golf Course northeast of Bakersfield.

Around 40 firefighters were called east of Lake Ming after 5 p.m. Friday.

No structures were damaged and no injuries were reported. Investigators don’t know what sparked the fire, but are calling it suspicious.
