The coroner’s office has confirmed that a two-year-old found at the bottom of a swimming pool at a home on Noble Avenue in northeast Bakersfield died from accidental drowning.

Jacob Velazquez-Arredondo was discovered unresponsive at the residence east of Mount Vernon Avenue on May 3. He died Saturday morning at Memorial Hospital.
