Kern County firefighters helped firefighters from Los Angeles County extinguish a two-acre brush fire along Interstate 5 south of Gorman School Road.

It happened near the southbound lanes of the freeway at around 11 a.m. Wednesday. It’s not clear what sparked that fire.
