Sheriff’s deputies have arrested a Shafter man after he ran from a stolen vehicle during a traffic stop at Roberts Lane and Belmont Avenue in north Bakersfield.

20-year-old Albert Gutierrez was found hiding behind a nearby apartment building early Friday afternoon. Stolen items from two other vehicle burglaries were found inside the SUV.
