Forty firefighters from Kern County, the U.S. Forest Service and Bureau of Land Management got the jump on a wildfire near Lake Isabella that burned two and a half acres near Highway 178 and Elizabeth Norris Road. The fire broke out just after noon today, and they were able to contain it within 45 minutes. Investigators think a dragging chain sparked the fire.
