A man is jailed after police say he pointed a loaded pistol at a dog near El Sereno and La France drives in southeast Bakersfield.

23-year-old Jeremiah Hendrix was arrested on a concealed firearm charge late Monday morning at Ming Avenue and El Toro Drive. Investigators say the dog was not vicious and Hendrix did not fire a round at the animal.
