Watering Restrictions Passed on New, Renovated Homes and Buildings

The Building Standards Commission has approved lawn and landscape-watering restrictions for new and renovated homes and other buildings.

The standards take effect June 15 for residences, and next week for schools, businesses and hospitals on the drawing board. The regulations outline a maximum watering formula, encouraging developers to plant shrubs in place of grass.
