An electrical short is being blamed for a garage fire that displaced four people and caused $225,000 damage to a south Bakersfield home on Artimus Court.

Firefighters were called southwest of Pacheco and Wible roads just before 3 p.m. Monday. The fire was controlled in about 20 minutes.
