The man who died after crashing into a utility pole at Oswell Street and Potomac Avenue on the east side has been identified by the coroner’s office as 20-year-old Jose Juan Martinez Andrade of Bakersfield.

The wreck happened after 5 p.m. Sunday. He died in the OR at Kern Medical Center about three hours later.
