The Kern County Coroner’s Office has identified the man who died after crashing his vehicle into a utility pole at McKee and Wible roads in southwest Bakersfield as 21-year-old Christian Carlin.

Bakersfield Police Department investigators pronounced Carlin dead at the scene just before 4 p.m. Saturday.
