Stocks closed higher Wednesday after the Federal Reserve said it wasn’t in a hurry to raise interest rates.

The Dow gained 31 points, the Nasdaq added nine points and the S&P 500 increased four points. American crude lost 5 cents, finishing at $59.92 a barrel.
