A 17-year-old girl and 16-year-old boy are jailed after the Kern County Sheriff’s Office say they robbed a FoodMaxx on Niles Street and Fairfax Road in east Bakersfield.

It happened after 3:20 p.m. Thursday. The teens were arrested on Oregon Street after the girl broke into an apartment and the boy attempted to hide in a yard.
