The body of a swimmer reported missing over the weekend in Lake Isabella has been identified as 37-year-old Robert Garcia.

He was found by Kern County search and rescue officers at around 3 p.m. Monday.

It’s believed he drowned Saturday night while trying to make it back to shore from an island near the Auxiliary Dam boat launch.
