A Bakersfield man faces up to five years in prison and a $250,000 fine for aiming a laser pointer at a Kern County Sheriff’s Office helicopter.

52-year-old Barry Bowser Jr. was found guilty Wednesday after a two-day federal trial. He’ll be sentenced in Fresno in September.
