Another man has died after suffering serious injuries in a July 4 crash on Panama Lane near Ino Madera Street in southwest Bakersfield.

The coroner’s office says 71-year-old Jean Goyenetche was pronounced dead after 1:30 a.m. Wednesday.

The driver of the other vehicle, 28-year-old Jorge Hernandez, died hours after Saturday’s wreck. He wasn’t wearing a seat belt, the California Highway Patrol said.
