A man who pleaded no contest to a pair of stabbings that happened within 30 minutes of each other in southwest Bakersfield has been sentenced to 10 years in prison.

Police say 30-year-old Mitchell Rocha stabbed a man at Ming Avenue and South Real Road, then stabbed a woman on Oriole Street in April.
