The oilfield worker who died after falling from a 25-foot platform in western Kern County has been identified by the coroner’s office as 29-year-old Bernardo Morales Jr. of Bakersfield.

The death has also been ruled an accident, with Morales hitting his head.

It happened July 17 on Target Drilling property on Panama Lane, east of Enos Lane.
