Highway 178 west of the Lower Richbar Campground had to be briefly closed after a crash between a vehicle and a motorcycle ignited a fire on both sides of the roadway, charring a quarter-acre of grass.

It happened after 5 p.m. Wednesday. Three people involved in the wreck suffered minor injuries.
