Sentencing is set for Sept. 1 for a Taft felon who pleaded no contest to drug and firearm charges.

28-year-old Joe Barraza was arrested at his home July 17 during a probation search, where police and sheriff’s deputies found guns, ammo, three ounces of meth, drug paraphernalia and prescription medicine.
