A man is hospitalized after getting shot in the leg in southeast Bakersfield.

It happened before 2 p.m. Thursday near Jastro Avenue and Padre Street. The Kern County Sheriff’s Office says 19-year-old Juan Maldonado suffered non-life threatening injuries and no arrests were made.
