The family of a motorcycle rider who was killed in a crash with a deputy has filed a wrongful death claim against the county.

Attorney Matt Clark says they have surveillance video showing Deputy Marvin Gomez failed to slow down for the red light on Norris Road and Airport Drive, which is required both by state law and Sheriff’s Office policy. 59-year-old Larry Maharrey slammed into the cruiser July 5th when Gomez turned left in front of him.
