Sgt. Joe Grubbs said it happened at around 11:15 a.m. Wednesday.

“Once officers arrived, they discovered that a suspect came into the bank armed with a firearm, a pistol, and demanded money,” he said.

Grubbs said the man left the bank without any cash and fled on a skateboard northbound on Easton.

Detectives say the man has dark shaved hair, a mustache and goatee, a stocky build and multiple tattoos on both arms. He was wearing a black shirt and blue jeans at the time of the incident.

Those with more information are urged to call Det. Jeff Paglia at (661) 326-3511 or the Bakersfield Police Department at (661) 327-7111.
