The Bakersfield Fire Department has deployed additional resources to the Rough Fire near Hume Lake, which has burned around 31,000 acres.

The agency is providing a strike team leader and a group of firefighters that will be operating a wildfire-specific engine.

Six city firefighters are currently at the site, according to a press release.
