A review board says a fatal officer-involved police shooting of a man at a southeast Bakersfield park was within department policy and state and federal guidelines.

Nine-year veteran Jose Galvan and rookie Jesus Trinidad killed Daniel Hernandez Jr. at Stiern Park in July. Investigators say the officers ordered Hernandez to drop a gun before opening fire.
