Man Found Guilty of Malicious Railroad Damage

A Kern County jury has found a man guilty of yanking at least 21 railroad spikes from Union Pacific tracks near Sopp Road and Sierra Highway in Rosamond.

Daryl Stempfley faces up to three years in prison when he’s sentenced in September. Deputies found Stempfley with a crowbar and scrap metal near the scene last March.
