Two people are seriously hurt after their pickup rear-ended a semi on Interstate 5 at the base of the Grapevine.

Both victims were rushed from East High School to Kern Medical Center after being airlifted from the scene in a Blackhawk helicopter on Monday. The wreck backed up traffic from Laval Road to Grapevine Road.
