A Bakersfield man was sentenced today [Monday] to 21 months in prison for aiming a laser pointer at a Kern County Sheriff’s helicopter on March 2nd, 2014. Timothy Wilson pleaded guilty in a Federal Court for pointing the green laser beam at the crew in Sheriff’s Air-1, which caused the pilot to feel irritation to his eyes.
