Two men are facing a host of felony charges for an alleged, prostitution extortion plot against a couple in South Taft. The pair were lured into a car by a female accomplice last month with the promise of drugs, but she stopped to pick up 27-year-old Jeremy Reyes and 36-year-old Bobby Jackson, and Sheriff’s Sgt. Marc Hiaungs says they men used a liquor bottle and a gun to demand cash or Jackson would force the woman into prostitution. Deputies were alerted to the situation and stopped the car. Hiaungs says Jackson was arrested earlier this year for a similar incident.
