The National Park Service and the Forest Service say the Grant Grove area of Kings Canyon National Park will reopen on Friday, along with parts of the Giant Sequoia National Monument. The area has been closed for weeks due to the huge Rough Fire. Parts of the Hume Lake recreation district will also reopen to the public, the Montecello Lake Resort reopens Saturday.
