The latest round of Honor Flight veterans from Kern County will head out Wednesday morning for a tour of Washington DC and a visit to the memorials built in their honor. Those include the World War II, Korean War and Vietnam War memorials. The flights depart from Meadows Field in Bakersfield at 6:10 and 6:30, with the return arrivals Friday evening at 9:30 and 11:00. The public is encouraged to attend.
