WEATHER A FACTOR IN PLANE CRASH

The preliminary accident report on a deadly plane crash in a Bakersfield orchard says the pilot had made several changes in altitude and direction to avoid bad weather, and had limited experience flying on instruments only. The pilot, his wife and their three children all died December 19th when the Piper PA 32 broke up before coming down near Panama Lane and Allen Road. The family was flying from San Jose to Henderson, Nevada.
