Bakersfield Police hope the public will help them find the hit and run driver who killed an elderly man as he was crossing the street. The 74-year-old victim was pushing a shopping cart across Panama Lane near South Union Avenue around 6:40 last night when he was struck. Witnesses say the vehicle may have been a dark colored, full sized SUV or pickup.
