A man from Johannesburg in the rural desert of eastern Kern County is jailed on numerous charges involving explosives, threats and having a gun when he should not. A Sheriff’s news release say 51-year-old Todd Sloan posted threats against law enforcement on Facebook, and a search of his house turned up numerous explosives, a gun and active booby traps. Several agencies are investigating.
