Two local basketball teams trounced their Texas rivals, and one of them did it in the Lone Star State.

The Bakersfield Jam defeated the Texas Legends 103-96 Thursday night at the Dr. Pepper Arena in Frisco, Texas. All five starters scored in the double digits, led by Xavier Munford’s 25 points.

Back at home the CSUB Roadrunners beat UT Rio Grande 77-58 at the Icardo Center, making them 9 and 0 at home this season. Senior Kevin Mays led all scoring with 21 points.

The Jam are an affiliate of the Phoenix Suns.
