A Johannesburg, California man who made threats against law enforcement and put explosives and booby traps in his house must stand trial on 12 felonies.

51-year-old Todd Sloan is accused of making the threats via Facebook, which led deputies to his house in the desert near Ridgecrest this month. Sheriff’s deputies found three incendiary type devices, four types of commercial explosives, and seven improvised explosive devices when they arrived.

Sloan says he did it to call attention to threats against his life that were ignored and medical claims that were denied.
