A teacher from Wasco High School has been arrested after deputies found he was having a sexual relationship with a female student, and took provocative pictures of the girl with his cell phone.

Kern County Sheriff’s deputies began investigating 45-year-old Alvaro Luna after they were tipped off to the relationship three months ago.

Luna was arrested at his Arvin home on January 24th and charged with four offenses, including using an underage person to produce obscene matter. Deputies do not believe the photos were posted online.

His bail is set at $200,000.
